With diverse experience within the hospitality industry, three of Auckland’s up-and-coming food experts tapped into their knowledge of Aotearoa’s great eateries and dishes to account for the criteria on what makes a Cult Icon.
Uniqueness, consistency, atmosphere and above all else – quality in every aspect from food to service to pricing were considered across the 10 most desired categories and were further validated by diner sentiments from reviews, social media management with guests and geotagged posts to determine the favourite spots amongst consumers across the past 12 months.
